Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the charming heart of Barzio, Foresteria Lombarda Da Giovanna proved to be the perfect retreat during our Christmas getaway. The location is spot on—just a short walk to delightful local restaurants and shops, while the ski shuttle is only 400 meters away. Our cozy room was warmed up beautifully for the winter, making it a great spot to crash after a day on the slopes. What really stood out was the hospitality. The owner went above and beyond; when my son craved a soft drink in the late afternoon, she thoughtfully left a bottle of Coke at our door. Such personal touches truly elevated our stay and made us feel at home. Plus, the free WiFi kept us connected while we enjoyed the tranquility of Barzio—ideal for an adventure blogger like myself. And for those who can’t bear to leave their furry friends behind, this pet-friendly spot is perfect! My Westie would have absolutely loved the stay just as much as we did. Foresteria Lombarda Da Giovanna combines comfort, warmth, and accessibility in a way that resonates well with adventurous spirits. If you're planning a trip to the Italian Alps, this place should be on your radar!
